In mid January 2008, we were all a little shocked to learn that our faithful and honorable State House Representative Bill Cotty here in the 79th District was not going to be running for a fifth term.
After prayerful consideration and discussions with family and friends, I, Tony Lamm, have decided to accept the challenge of running for the South Carolina State House. I will be on the June 10 Republican Primary ballot.
Right from the start, I knew my mission was to represent the people of the 79th District, not the big special interests nor the status quo. By listening to you, understanding what needs you have, and your concerns for the future, I have a purpose. I will work tirelessly to bring common sense ideas straight from the people of District 79 to the South Carolina House of Representatives. I want to make sure your voice is heard loud and clear in the South Carolina Legislature. I have a proven track record of leadership and service, and have the experience that will enable me to serve the people of District 79.
House District 79 covers Lugoff, Elgin, and Northeast Columbia along US1/Two Notch Road in Kershaw & Richland Counties. Won't you help me?
